About Us
A Lifetime in Building
Construction has always been at the center of Jerry Hatmaker’s life. With a father who was an iron worker and a father-in-law who worked as a general contractor, Jerry grew up surrounded by the trades. By his teenage years, he was already building homes and working with steel, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong career.
From Iron Work to Homebuilding
Jerry spent a decade in commercial iron work before turning his focus fully to residential construction. He began with framing, siding, and trim carpentry, gaining hands-on experience in every stage of a home’s structure and finish. From there, he expanded into remodels and additions, honing his eye for detail and precision. In 2013, Jerry established himself as a licensed general contractor, bringing together his diverse experience to make his name in a new career.
A Personal Approach
With more than 30 years in construction, Jerry believes in quality over quantity. He carefully limits the number of projects taken on at any given time, ensuring that every client receives his full attention. Jerry is personally on-site at every project, guiding each stage of the build and maintaining open communication from start to finish.
Family Values, Lasting Reputation
J. Hatmaker Construction is more than a business; it’s a family legacy. Alongside his wife, Brandy, Jerry leads with integrity, craftsmanship, and care, building not just homes, but long-lasting relationships with clients.
